Margaret is the evil mother in the movie “Carrie.” She is an insane with twisted views of religion and life. When she find out her daughter has supernatural talents she tries to murder her own child. With her dictator ways and giving Carrie low self-esteem this mother will make sure her daughter fails in life.
Joan Crawford in “Mommy Dearest” is even more twisted knowing it was based on real life. Joan uses mental and physical abuse to take away any self-respect her children may have had. She used her kids as P/R puppets to make herself look like a great mother, but in truth she was an evil woman who unleashed every nasty trick in the book on her children.
One of the most popular macabre movie character is Mrs. Bates in “Psycho.” The tyrannical mom drives her son into madness. Her overbearing ways turns her son, Norman, into a mentally unstable person who ends up murdering her and keeping the body preserved in the attic.
