Science fiction fans have many programs available to love, however, a few stand out more than others. Fans flock to several, although here are the top five:
Star Trek, which includes all of the Star Trek series, has run through the years with new episodes and new series. The original Star Trek, then on to the Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and the Enterprise all held the same ambiance of perfection.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer held captive audiences wondering what would happen next for years. This program belongs in the top five of all time, simply due to the coffins it opened for shows to come.
Third, we find the Doctor Who, which includes all series. British TV icon that continually renewed itself because the Doctor could “regenerate”. With eleven different actors portraying the Time Lord, known as The Doctor, the show managed to go on and off again for nearly fifty years.
Battlestar Galactica, including the original series in the late ‘70s and the newer series later, the Sci-Fi Channel had their hands in magic with this hugely popular science fiction series.
Stargate SG-1 found its way into the airways on Showtime before it moved eventually to the Sci-Fi Channel where it aired for another five years. The series went on to produce a dual DVD films, “The Ark of Truth” and “Continuum”, along with harvesting two spin-off series in Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate: Universe.
